St. Louis, MO – An illegal firework is blamed for an explosion that blew off part of a man’s arm Tuesday night in the 7800 block of Germania.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the explosion occurred around 6 p.m. The man was hospitalized after suffering serious injuries. Investigators suspect the firework was illegally manufactured, underscoring the dangers of such devices.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident, highlighting the risks associated with illegal fireworks, which are neither made nor sold commercially.
