Massena, NY – Two Massena residents are facing multiple felony and misdemeanor drug charges following a multi-agency narcotics investigation that culminated in arrests late last week.

According to New York State Police, Troop B’s Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team charged Tia-Rose G. Stephenson, 31, and Justin P. Love, 33, both of Massena, on Thursday, December 19, 2025, after executing a search warrant at their residence.

Police said Stephenson and Love were each charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st degree, a Class A-II felony, along with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a Class B felony. Investigators also filed eight counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree and two counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree, both Class A misdemeanors.

Authorities said the search warrant was obtained as part of a broader, ongoing multi-agency investigation into suspected drug activity in the Massena area. During the search, investigators allegedly located cocaine, digital scales, drug packaging materials, and a quantity of cash believed to be connected to drug sales.

Following their arrests, Stephenson and Love were transported to the New York State Police barracks in Massena for processing. Both were later arraigned in Massena Town Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail without bail, according to police.

The investigation involved assistance from the Massena Police Department, the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, and the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force.

No further details about the investigation or potential additional charges were released. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
