Springfield, Mo. – After weeks of soggy weather, Missouri is finally looking at a dry stretch with sunny skies and comfortable warmth holding steady through early next week. Highs will climb into the low to mid-80s across much of the state, giving residents a break from the recent rain-soaked pattern.
According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, today will bring partly sunny skies with highs near 80 before temperatures climb slightly higher into the weekend. By Saturday and Sunday, most of southwest Missouri, including Branson, Joplin, and Rolla, will see full sun with afternoon highs in the low to mid-80s and overnight lows in the 50s.
Road conditions will stay clear and outdoor activities should face no weather disruptions, though health officials remind residents to stay hydrated with above-average temperatures and late September sun. Farmers and outdoor workers can expect several dry days for fieldwork and harvest.
The dry and pleasant conditions will continue into Monday before clouds slowly increase, hinting at the possibility of changes beyond the five-day outlook. For now, the state remains locked into one of the calmest stretches of weather this month.
