Springfield, MO – Residents across southwest Missouri can expect warm, mostly dry weather through next week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Springfield. Temperatures will run above normal, with highs ranging from the upper 70s to mid-80s and only limited rain chances late Sunday into early Monday.
According to the NWS, rain chances remain low—between 10% and 30%—Sunday night into Monday morning. After that, quiet and sunny conditions are forecast to dominate through Thursday, with daytime highs around 80°F and overnight lows in the 50s to low 60s.
The agency also noted that below-normal precipitation over the past month, combined with dry soils and continued warmth, is increasing the risk of early onset fire danger this fall season. Residents are urged to use caution with outdoor burning and remain aware of any local burn advisories that may be issued.
Forecasters expect no major weather systems to affect the area until late next week, when cooler air could begin to return.
