Springfield, MO – A foggy start Sunday morning is giving way to changing conditions across southwest Missouri, with rain expected to move in late tonight into Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Springfield.
Dense fog developed early this morning across several parts of the Ozarks, reducing visibility for commuters. Forecasters warn drivers to use caution until mid-morning when conditions improve.
Rain chances rise sharply to between 60–90% overnight Sunday into Monday, with temperatures dipping slightly into the upper 50s. The heaviest showers are expected during the Monday morning commute, creating the potential for slick roads and slowdowns across Greene, Christian, and surrounding counties.
By Tuesday, forecasters expect skies to begin clearing with highs near 65°F, followed by a sharp temperature drop into the mid-40s by Wednesday as a cold front moves through. Overnight lows will fall into the 30s, signaling a return to cooler, drier late-November weather.
Residents should prepare for wet roads Monday and chilly mornings mid-week, with no significant storm threats currently expected.
