Springfield, Missouri Weather: Intermittent Rain Showers Continue Through Wednesday Morning

Springfield, Mo. – Drivers and commuters across southwest Missouri should prepare for damp conditions as scattered rain showers persist through midweek. The National Weather Service says rainfall totals will remain under an inch, with no widespread washouts or severe storms expected.

According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, rain chances will range from 20 to 50 percent each day, with the best coverage likely Tuesday. Highs will hold in the mid-70s to mid-80s, with skies staying partly to mostly cloudy.

Southeast Kansas and western Missouri will see the greatest rain chances Sunday and Monday, while central Missouri could see more activity Wednesday. Roadways may become slick during heavier downpours, though flooding and damaging winds are not a concern.

Residents are encouraged to keep umbrellas and rain gear handy, and allow extra travel time during morning and evening commutes. Outdoor events may experience brief interruptions, but long stretches of dry weather are expected between showers.

Scattered rain is expected to continue through Wednesday morning, with updated advisories possible if rainfall increases.
