According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms will develop Sunday afternoon, intensifying into the evening. Wind gusts could reach 37 mph in Charleston, with localized damaging winds and heavy rainfall possible. There is also a slight risk of a brief tornado. Overnight, temperatures will drop to the mid-30s, with rain chances decreasing by Monday morning.
On Monday, lingering showers and a mix of rain and snow are possible between 10 and 11 a.m. before skies gradually clear. The high will be near 52°F, with calmer winds between 6 to 8 mph. Monday night will be clear, with a low around 34°F.
Looking ahead, Tuesday will bring sunny conditions and a high near 71°F, with mild weather continuing into Wednesday. However, another round of rain is expected by midweek, with showers likely Wednesday night into Thursday.
