MILWAUKEE, WI – Spring has officially arrived, but winter-like conditions are still making their presence felt in Wisconsin. Gusty winds are expected to ease by late Thursday morning, making way for warmer temperatures on Friday. However, residents should prepare for potential rain this weekend as early spring weather patterns remain unsettled.
According to the National Weather Service, a Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 a.m. Thursday for much of southern and eastern Wisconsin, including Milwaukee. Winds from the north at 20-25 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph, could create hazardous travel conditions, especially for high-profile vehicles.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Friday will bring sunny skies and a high near 54°F, offering a much-needed break from the blustery conditions. Winds will shift to the southwest at 15-20 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph, making it a breezy but warmer start to spring.
Weekend Outlook:
• Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 39°F.
• Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, low around 28°F.
• Sunday: A mix of rain and snow possible before noon, turning to rain in the afternoon. High near 45°F.
Drivers should be cautious, especially on I-94 and I-43, as wet conditions could impact travel by Sunday. Stay updated on the latest forecasts and plan ahead for changing weather conditions.
