Chicago, IL – Spring is making its presence felt in Illinois, bringing warm temperatures and mostly clear skies to start the week. On Tuesday, Chicago will experience highs around 47°F with breezy conditions, but a shift in the wind could bring gusts up to 30 mph by the afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday morning will start with west winds at 10 to 15 mph, shifting north later in the day. Tuesday night will see partly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping to 35°F.

Looking ahead, Wednesday and Thursday will feature mostly sunny skies, with highs in the mid-to-upper 40s. Winds will calm slightly, making for comfortable spring weather. By Friday, temperatures will climb back to 68°F, but occasional showers and a possible thunderstorm could disrupt outdoor plans.

Residents should take advantage of the mild conditions early in the week before rain arrives. If traveling along I-90 or I-55, be prepared for strong gusts on Tuesday.

For the weekend, expect a cooldown, with highs in the low 60s Saturday and a chance of showers. By Sunday, partly sunny skies return, but breezy conditions will persist.
