Burlington, VT – Vermont’s spring weather pattern is shifting, bringing warmer temperatures and breezy conditions to Burlington by Tuesday. A mix of sun and clouds will push highs into the mid-50s before another cooldown midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 55°F. Winds will be strong, with gusts reaching up to 20 mph, making for a blustery but mild day. By Tuesday night, temperatures will dip to around 30°F, with winds shifting northwest and calming slightly.

Wednesday marks a return to colder weather, with highs struggling to reach 31°F under mostly sunny skies. A 30% chance of snow showers develops late Wednesday night into Thursday morning, with lows dropping to 21°F. While snowfall accumulation is expected to be light, roads may become slick overnight.

By Thursday, partly cloudy skies will keep temperatures in the mid-40s before a gradual warm-up heading into the weekend. Friday and Saturday will see highs in the low-to-mid 50s, but another round of showers could develop by Saturday afternoon.

Drivers on I-89 should remain cautious, especially during midweek temperature fluctuations that could create icy patches. As Vermont transitions further into spring, expect variable conditions, making layers and weather-awareness essential.
