Detroit, MI – Southeast Michigan will experience heavy rain, gusty winds, and possible thunderstorms as a storm system moves through Sunday into Monday. A Wind Advisory is in effect, with gusts reaching up to 60 mph in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service, widespread rain will continue through Sunday morning before tapering off. Temperatures will rise to 56°F early Sunday but drop into the 40s by the evening. Winds from the southwest will shift, becoming northwesterly and reaching speeds of 28 mph.

By Monday, conditions improve with mostly sunny skies and a high near 46°F. However, Monday night brings another round of cooler temperatures, dropping to 37°F with clear skies.

Looking ahead, Tuesday and Wednesday remain dry, with highs in the low 60s. Another system may bring rain Wednesday night into Thursday, marking the official start of spring with unsettled conditions.

Drivers should use caution on I-75 and I-94, as wet roads and strong gusts could create hazardous travel conditions. Residents are advised to secure loose outdoor items and stay updated on weather alerts.

Spotter activation may be needed later Sunday as the storms develop. Stay informed with the latest updates from the National Weather Service.
