Spotsylvania, VA – Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Spotsylvania Man on Stubbs Bridge Road

Spotsylvania, VA – A 65-year-old Spotsylvania man was killed Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on Stubbs Bridge Road, authorities said.

According to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 2:27 p.m. to the 5800 block of Stubbs Bridge Road for a report of a single-vehicle crash. The agency’s Traffic Reconstruction Unit also assisted at the scene.

Investigators said preliminary findings showed that Robert Waltz was operating a 2018 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he left the roadway to the right and struck multiple trees. Waltz was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials confirmed that his next of kin has been notified.

The Sheriff’s Office stated the crash remains under investigation by the Traffic Reconstruction Unit. Sheriff Roger Harris extended condolences to Waltz’s family and friends during what he described as a difficult time.
