Spotsylvania County, VA – A multi-division drug enforcement effort by the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office led to five arrests last week, including three wanted individuals, according to a department release Monday.

On October 24, 2025, deputies carried out an enhanced enforcement detail targeting illegal narcotics activity and increasing law enforcement visibility across the county. The initiative, according to Major Delbert Myrick, combined resources from several divisions to bolster community safety.

The operation produced a series of enforcement results, including 51 traffic stops, 11 suspicious person calls, 18 citations, 1 vehicle towed, and 6 K9 deployments, the sheriff’s office reported.

As a result, five individuals were taken into custody on a total of eight charges, including possession of Schedule I/II narcotics (five counts), possession of drug paraphernalia, felony failure to appear, and failure to comply with pretrial. Deputies also recovered several felony-level narcotics, which have been submitted to the state lab for analysis. Additional charges could follow pending test results.

Sheriff Roger L. Harris said the department remains committed to “protecting and serving the community through proactive enforcement,” thanking residents for their continued support.
