Spokane, Washington – Lingering haze and rising temperatures will dominate Spokane’s weather through the weekend, with daytime highs pushing into the mid-80s by Sunday and only light winds offering relief.

According to the National Weather Service, widespread haze will continue into Saturday morning, impacting air quality and visibility across the Spokane metro and surrounding counties. Friday will stay sunny with highs near 71°F, climbing to 78°F Saturday and peaking at 84°F by Sunday afternoon. Overnight lows will remain in the 40s to low 50s, with mostly clear skies expected.

The haze, primarily from stagnant air and wildfire smoke drifting into the region, is raising air quality concerns across Spokane, Airway Heights, and parts of Eastern Washington. Residents sensitive to smoke—such as children, seniors, and those with respiratory issues—are encouraged to limit outdoor activity.

Calm winds are expected through Sunday, meaning little improvement in haze conditions before a weather shift arrives. Showers are likely to begin Monday and continue through midweek, offering potential relief from the haze but introducing new travel concerns.

A 40% chance of rain begins early Monday and continues into Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs remaining in the upper 60s to low 70s. Additional weather alerts may follow as patterns develop.
