Spokane, WA – Deputies arrested three suspects after a reported fuel theft uncovered alleged stolen property and weapons, prompting a broader investigation.

According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 2:10 a.m. Sunday to the 400 block of East Hawthorne Road for a report of two men siphoning diesel from a parked truck. When deputies arrived, they identified three individuals—27-year-old Hunter T. Dozier, 38-year-old Shaun T. Jackson, and 39-year-old Nathan R. Robson—near the vehicle.

Investigators allege Jackson was lying beneath the truck with a tool, while Dozier was seated on the tailgate. Robson was found inside a nearby Hyundai registered to Dozier’s wife. Deputies reported locating a cordless power washer, a siphon tube, burglary tools, and suspected stolen items at the scene.

The victim told deputies he observed two men near his truck and noticed approximately 15 gallons of diesel fuel—valued at about $90—missing. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $45.

Authorities said Dozier allegedly admitted to picking up the other two men after they ran out of gas. Jackson denied siphoning fuel, while Robson told deputies he had fallen asleep in the vehicle.

Deputies also reported recovering brass knuckles with an attached spring-assisted knife, shaved keys, and additional tools. A records check showed Dozier is a multiple-time convicted felon, and Jackson had active warrants.

All three suspects were booked into the Spokane County Jail on various charges, including theft, malicious mischief, and weapons violations. Deputies later obtained a search warrant for the Hyundai, where they reportedly found additional tools and a loaded firearm.

The case remains under investigation, and additional charges are possible.

This incident may be relevant to early-morning commuters and overnight workers in the Hawthorne Road area.
