Spokane Valley, WA – A man was hospitalized after gunfire erupted during a house party in Spokane Valley early Saturday morning, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they responded to reports of shots fired at a residence in the 800 block of North Park Road at around 2:45 a.m. on September 27. Soon after, an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds was found in a vehicle near the intersection of 2nd Avenue and South Havana Road. He was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

According to investigators, the victim told deputies he had attended a party with a friend but could not provide the location or his friend’s name. He reported that they had just arrived when shots were fired.

Detectives said a large group was at the party when an argument broke out between attendees and an unknown group outside. At some point, gunfire erupted, prompting people to scatter before deputies arrived. Witnesses reported hearing shots but said they did not see anyone with a weapon.

Major Crimes Detectives and the Spokane County Sheriff’s Forensics Unit processed the scene, collected evidence, and interviewed potential witnesses. Liberty Lake Police also assisted due to multiple calls in the area.

The sheriff’s office confirmed that no arrests have been made. The investigation remains active, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Detective J. Hall at 509-477-3481, reference #10137985.
