Spokane, WA – Three teenage suspects were arrested Sunday evening after an alleged alcohol theft at a store near W. Francis Avenue and N. Monroe Street left an employee with minor injuries and caused thousands of dollars in damage.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called around 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2025, for a reported robbery at a business in the 900 block of W. Francis Avenue. Employees told deputies that three male juveniles allegedly grabbed bottles of alcohol and tried to flee, pushing a shopping cart into an employee and injuring her hand during the escape. The suspects then allegedly forced their way through a set of automatic doors, causing an estimated $3,000 in damage.
A Spokane Police Department drone operator notified deputies that individuals matching the suspects’ descriptions were seen in a parking lot in the 1100 block of W. Francis. Deputies detained a group of juveniles at the scene while investigating. Officials said at least two of them matched witness accounts.
Deputies reviewed store surveillance video and examined the broken door before determining the three males—two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old—were the primary suspects. Deputies said stolen items were visible inside the vehicle associated with the teens, and additional alcohol was found on the ground nearby.
The juveniles were allegedly in possession of $84.33 worth of stolen merchandise. All three were arrested on suspicion of Robbery 2nd Degree and Malicious Mischief 2nd Degree and booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center. The involved vehicle was seized pending a search warrant. No other juveniles were charged.
Authorities said the injured employee is expected to be okay.
