Chicago, IL – Spirit Halloween, the country’s largest Halloween retailer, has kicked off its 2025 hiring season with 50,000 open positions across the U.S., including thousands of opportunities throughout the Midwest in states like Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

According to Spirit Halloween’s announcement Tuesday, the company will operate more than 1,500 temporary retail locations this fall and is now accepting applications for seasonal associate and managerial roles. Hiring is underway in key Midwest cities including Chicago, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and St. Louis, where the retailer traditionally sees high seasonal demand.

CEO Steven Silverstein highlighted the energy that seasonal employees bring each year. “The talent and enthusiasm of our associates is the driving force that brings Halloween to life,” Silverstein said. Spirit Halloween is known for transforming vacant retail spaces into immersive Halloween destinations, complete with costumes, décor, and animatronic displays.

Perks for seasonal workers include competitive pay, flexible scheduling, a premium pay incentive program, and a 30% employee discount. Returning store managers may also qualify for seasonal retention bonuses. The company emphasizes a workplace culture rooted in respect, integrity, and community.
