SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The chill in the Upstate air feels sharp this morning, but the clear, quiet dawn marks the start of a dramatic warmup. By Friday, South Carolina’s cool streak gives way to a string of sunny, near-perfect days that could make even early holiday errands or outdoor projects feel effortless.

According to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, Friday brings highs near 68 degrees under bright sunshine, followed by a steady rise into the mid-70s over the weekend. Skies remain mostly clear, with light southwest breezes and humidity holding comfortably low. Saturday and Sunday will each top out around 74 to 75 degrees — a mild and dry stretch that’s ideal for leaf cleanup, football tailgates, and early Thanksgiving decorating.

Morning lows will hover near 40 to 45 degrees, crisp enough for jackets but well above freezing, signaling an end to the region’s recent cold snap. No rain is expected through early next week, and travel conditions across the I-85 corridor look excellent through Tuesday.

To be fair, late November rarely stays this quiet for long. Models hint at a weak front mid-next week that could bring a brief cooldown before the Thanksgiving rush. For now, though, Upstate residents can enjoy a serene stretch of sunshine, calm winds, and temperatures closer to September than mid-November.
