Residents in areas from Kanab to Cedar City should prepare for locally heavy rainfall and isolated flash flooding, as the storms are expected to be particularly intense.
According to the US National Weather Service Salt Lake City, thunderstorms will begin to develop around 3 PM, increasing in coverage as the evening progresses. Those in the northeast, extending from Kanab to Cedar City, can expect drier thunderstorms capable of producing dry lightning and strong, gusty outflow winds.
