California’s Imperial Valley and Coachella cities like Palm Springs and Indio could peak at 120°F. Even Grand Canyon’s Phantom Ranch may reach 115°F.
Cooling centers are open—Maricopa residents can call 2-1-1 for locations and free transportation. Outdoor workers are urged to hydrate, rest in shade, and limit strenuous tasks to early morning.
