CINCINNATI, Ohio – Early Saturday fog across southwest Ohio is giving way to a stretch of golden October sunshine, setting the stage for a warm and calm Columbus Day weekend across the Queen City and surrounding counties. Drivers along I-75 and I-71 should expect reduced visibility through mid-morning but improving travel conditions by late morning as skies clear.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, high pressure is keeping the region mild and dry through Tuesday. Afternoon highs will climb into the low to mid-70s today and Sunday, ideal for fall festivals, pumpkin patch visits, and early holiday travel. Winds remain light and variable, offering picture-perfect leaf-viewing weather from Hamilton County through Butler and Warren Counties.

By Monday, Columbus Day will bring another sunny and seasonably warm afternoon, topping out near 76°F. Calm winds and low humidity will make for comfortable outdoor conditions. According to forecasters, a cooler push will arrive by midweek, trimming highs back into the low 70s and lows into the mid-40s.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the stable stretch for yard work, outdoor events, and early Halloween decorating. Morning fog may briefly slow traffic on rural routes and low-lying areas through early next week. No major rainfall or frost risk is expected before Thursday.
