Dodge City, Kan. – Rain chances remain limited across Kansas this week, with only scattered showers and thunderstorms expected from Thursday night through Sunday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Dodge City, the highest potential for measurable rainfall is centered in parts of central Kansas, including Hays, St. John, and Pratt. Even in these areas, any rain is expected to be isolated and not widespread.

Central and southwest Kansas may see occasional thunderstorms, but severe weather is unlikely. Meteorologists note that while a strong storm or two can’t be ruled out due to seasonal instability, the overall risk of significant severe weather remains low.

Road travel disruptions and outdoor plans are unlikely to be heavily impacted, though residents in central areas should remain aware of brief downpours or lightning. No flood concerns are expected.

Conditions are expected to return to dry and warm patterns early next week. Additional weather updates will be posted if storm activity increases or new advisories are issued.
