Paducah, KY – A frost advisory has been issued for southwest Indiana and western Kentucky, in effect from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. CDT (2 a.m. to 9 a.m. EDT) Friday. Temperatures are expected to fall as low as 34°F, leading to frost formation in areas like Evansville, Henderson, and Owensboro.
The National Weather Service warns that sensitive outdoor vegetation may be harmed or killed if left uncovered. Residents are advised to take precautions by covering plants or moving them indoors.
This is the second night of potential frost in the region, with areas that missed frost previously now at risk. Cold conditions will persist through the early morning hours, improving later Friday. Residents should protect any remaining sensitive plants as frost poses a threat to gardens and outdoor vegetation.
