The National Weather Service warns of prolonged hot and dry conditions, raising heat illness concerns for outdoor workers and those without cooling.

According to the NWS in Boise, Tuesday’s high will reach near 90°F under clear skies, followed by a stretch of rising heat peaking early next week. Winds remain mostly calm, with occasional afternoon breezes up to 10 mph. Humidity levels will stay low, contributing to increased wildfire risk across the region.

Wednesday: Clear and dry with a high near 92°F. Light northwest winds in the afternoon. Overnight lows stay mild near 62°F.
Thursday: Mostly sunny and slightly cooler with a high of 86°F. Overnight low: 55°F.
Friday: High pressure rebuilds, bringing highs around 84°F under sunny skies.
Saturday: Dry and warmer with a high near 88°F.
Sunday into Monday: Peak heat returns. Sunday tops out near 93°F, and Monday could reach 95°F.

Residents are urged to hydrate, limit mid-day outdoor activity, and check cooling systems. No rain is in sight through early next week, and further heat advisories may be issued if temperatures trend upward.
