Cheyenne, WY – Pleasant fall weather will continue across Wyoming Thursday, but residents in southern parts of the state should prepare for increased cloud cover and a few light showers, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Cheyenne.
Forecasters say the change comes as a storm system passes just south of the state, bringing slightly cooler and cloudier conditions than earlier in the week. Highs are expected to remain mild, ranging from the upper 50s to low 60s across much of the region.
According to the NWS, areas between Rawlins and Cheyenne may see isolated rain showers, with high-elevation locations possibly experiencing light snow showers. Despite the added moisture, the overall outlook remains calm with only minor weather impacts expected.
Elsewhere across central and northern Wyoming, skies will stay partly cloudy with comfortable afternoon temperatures and light winds. The weather service notes that conditions remain ideal for outdoor plans, though travelers in southern Wyoming should stay aware of changing conditions in mountain passes.
The mild pattern is expected to continue into Friday, with temperatures holding steady and limited precipitation chances statewide.
