Milwaukee, WI – Southern Wisconsin is set to experience a bout of scattered thunderstorms and high humidity over the next few days. Widely scattered thunderstorms are expected later tonight, bringing heavy rainfall and dangerous lightning. Residents should also prepare for the possibility of strong storms on Thursday, with temperatures nearing 90 degrees throughout the period.

According to the US National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, tonight’s storms will be brief but intense. The region will get a brief respite on Wednesday afternoon before more showers and thunderstorms develop in the evening. These storms have the potential to become strong.

The forecast for today predicts temperatures between 85 and 90 degrees, with lows around 70 degrees at night. Similar conditions are expected on Wednesday, with high humidity levels persisting. By Thursday, temperatures will remain in the mid-to-upper 80s, accompanied by increased chances of strong thunderstorms.

The extended forecast shows a slight cooldown on Friday, with temperatures dipping to the lower 80s, and relatively calmer weather expected through the weekend. By Saturday, highs will reach the upper 80s, with Sunday seeing a slight drop to around 80 degrees.
