MEDFORD, Ore. – The Rogue Valley is locked into a stretch of calm, sunny fall weather this week, with cool mornings giving way to warm, comfortable afternoons. After a cloudy start, skies have cleared and temperatures are expected to rise steadily through the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Medford, daytime highs will reach the upper 60s Tuesday and Wednesday before warming into the low 70s by Friday. Overnight lows will stay crisp, dipping into the upper 30s to low 40s under mostly clear skies. Winds will remain light and variable, creating ideal outdoor conditions for harvest work, commuting, and fall events.
Clear skies will persist through Thursday before a few clouds drift in Friday night ahead of a weak Pacific front. That system could bring a return of light rain showers by late Saturday night into Sunday, mainly over higher elevations in the Siskiyou Mountains and along the Coast Range.
Residents are advised to expect cooler morning commutes, with some patchy fog possible in low valleys near Grants Pass and Central Point before sunrise. Otherwise, the region will enjoy stable weather and excellent air quality through the workweek.
According to forecasters, temperatures will cool slightly early next week as the front passes, but no significant storm activity is expected.
