Las Vegas, Nevada – A shift toward more seasonable temperatures will settle in by Thursday, but increasing rain chances and gusty winds could disrupt travel across Nevada through the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service and NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, Nevada is expected to see near-normal temperatures from April 16 through April 20, along with a 40 to 50 percent chance of above-normal precipitation. A series of Pacific systems will move through the region, bringing more clouds, wind, and periods of rain.

In Las Vegas and across Clark County, highs are expected to range from 78 to 82°F during the afternoon, with overnight lows in the low to mid-50s. Along the I-15 corridor, gusty winds could reach 25 to 35 mph at times, creating difficult driving conditions for high-profile vehicles.

Reno and northern Nevada will see cooler conditions, with highs in the 60s and increasing chances for showers. Ely and central Nevada may experience a mix of rain and higher-elevation snow, especially during overnight hours.

The precipitation outlook shows a 40 to 50 percent chance of above-normal rainfall, with the most active period expected between April 18 and April 22. Periods of moderate rain and isolated thunderstorms could develop, especially across central and northern مناطق of the state.

Residents should prepare for changing conditions, including wet roads, gusty winds, and reduced visibility. Drivers along I-15, U.S. 95, and I-80 should allow extra travel time during periods of rain and wind.

This unsettled pattern is expected to continue through April 20, with additional advisories likely as more systems move through the region into early next week.
