LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Mojave sky glows pale orange this morning, the desert air calm and dry as another sun-filled day unfolds across Clark County. Sunday begins a stretch of classic Nevada fall weather — warm afternoons, crisp evenings, and not a cloud in sight through at least midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, highs near 84°F today will gradually ease into the upper 70s by Tuesday. Southwesterly winds may gust near 20 mph in the afternoon before settling tonight as air turns cooler. By Monday morning, lows dip near 60°F under clear skies, offering a refreshingly mild start for early commuters along I-15 and the 215 Beltway.

Travelers can expect smooth, dry conditions statewide, with no weather-related delays for flights at Harry Reid International Airport or major routes across southern Nevada. The air remains exceptionally dry — humidity near 10 percent — so residents should stay hydrated and avoid outdoor burning. Those setting up Halloween displays this week will find ideal conditions through Thursday, though a slight cooling trend is expected late in the week.

By Friday, trick-or-treat weather looks nearly perfect: light breezes, dry air, and temperatures starting in the mid-70s before slipping into the 60s by dusk. After sunset, desert coolness will set in fast, so light jackets may be needed for kids making rounds through the neighborhoods.

To be fair, this stretch of tranquil weather won’t last forever. Long-range models hint at a cooler, breezier start to November — perhaps the first sign of a true desert chill.
