Las Vegas, NV – Dangerous triple-digit heat will intensify across Southern Nevada this week, with highs spiking near 109°F by Wednesday and persistent haze lowering air quality through Thursday. Residents should limit outdoor activity and prepare for continued heat stress and poor visibility during evening hours.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, widespread haze will return Tuesday afternoon and again overnight into Wednesday, especially between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., likely caused by wildfire smoke drifting in from surrounding regions. Southwest winds may gust up to 24 mph, further exacerbating dry, dusty conditions.

Tuesday: Sunny, hazy, and hot. High near 107°F. Evening haze persists through late night hours with lows around 80°F.
Wednesday: Peak heat. Highs near 109°F with a light breeze shifting southwest. Hazy skies likely to return late.
Thursday: Mostly clear and slightly less hot with highs around 109°F.
Friday–Sunday: Highs remain above 106°F daily. Nights stay warm, with lows in the low 80s.

While no official excessive heat warnings are in effect, conditions remain dangerous for vulnerable groups. Avoid strenuous activity outdoors during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and check on pets and neighbors. The heat is expected to persist through early next week, with additional air quality concerns possible.
