LAS VEGAS, NE – Southern Nevada will enjoy another day of sunshine Sunday before breezy conditions return to the Las Vegas Valley on Monday. Temperatures remain a few degrees below seasonal averages, providing a pleasant weekend across regional recreation spots from Red Rock Canyon to Lake Mead.
According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Monday will bring area-wide winds between 20 and 30 mph, especially in exposed desert valleys and mountain passes. While skies will stay clear, visitors should expect blowing dust and cooler air at higher elevations like Mount Charleston, where highs will hover in the low 50s.
Outdoor enthusiasts heading to Valley of Fire or Death Valley National Park will find daytime highs near 90°F under dry skies, though Monday’s gusts could make hiking or camping less comfortable. Boaters at Lake Mead should remain alert for choppy conditions as winds increase through the afternoon.
Dry weather continues through midweek with no precipitation expected. Forecasters say temperatures will slowly rebound by Tuesday as winds diminish across the Mojave Desert.
