Louisville, KY – A stretch of wet and potentially stormy weather is expected to impact Southern Indiana and areas of Kentucky, especially north of I-64, through Monday as a frontal boundary dips into the region.

According to the National Weather Service Louisville, rain and storm chances will increase beginning Saturday and continue through the start of the new week. The highest risks are concentrated in Southern Indiana and northern Kentucky counties, where gusty winds and brief periods of heavy rainfall may accompany scattered thunderstorms.

Tonight and Friday remain mild and mostly dry, with temperatures ranging from the mid-50s overnight to low 80s by Friday afternoon. However, rain chances rise sharply Saturday, primarily across Southern Indiana and parts of north-central Kentucky. Temperatures will stay seasonable, hovering in the 70s and low 80s.

Sunday will bring widespread storm chances north of the I-64 corridor, continuing into Monday before tapering off. While widespread severe weather is not expected, isolated storms may become strong, bringing localized flooding and wind damage.

Residents are urged to secure outdoor items, monitor local alerts, and avoid travel during heavy downpours. Flash flooding in low-lying areas is possible. For the latest alerts and radar updates, visit weather.gov/lmk.
