Paducah, Kentucky – Dry skies will dominate the weekend across western Kentucky, southern Illinois, and southeast Missouri, but a daily risk of thunderstorms begins Monday and lingers through Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, no hazardous weather is expected Friday through Sunday. However, a shift begins Monday afternoon, with a 40% chance of storms across the region, particularly after 1 p.m. Storm chances continue each afternoon through midweek, with locally heavy rain possible.
Residents in Paducah, Cape Girardeau, and Evansville should prepare for potentially stormy afternoons starting Monday. While no severe storms are forecast at this time, isolated downpours and lightning could disrupt commutes or outdoor plans. Calm winds and highs in the mid to upper 80s will make for warm, humid conditions during this stretch.
Areas along I-24 and US-60 should remain alert for localized ponding on roads and reduced visibility during downpours. Residents are advised to monitor updated forecasts daily, charge mobile devices, and have umbrellas or rain gear ready for the workweek.
Spotter activation is not expected at this time, but NWS will update this outlook if conditions change.
