Paducah, KY – A significant winter storm is set to bring heavy snow and dangerous cold temperatures to parts of Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, and Western Kentucky starting today through 9 a.m. Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, snowfall is expected to begin this morning in Missouri and by noon in Illinois and Kentucky, with total accumulations ranging from 4 to 9 inches, depending on the region. The heaviest snow will fall near sunset and continue overnight, making roads, bridges, and overpasses slick and hazardous for evening and morning commutes.
Light snow early Tuesday morning could add up to an inch in some areas, including along Illinois Route 13 and parts of northwest Kentucky.
