Pueblo, CO – Southern Colorado will stay warmer than normal with mostly dry conditions through the end of the work week, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo. Highs on Wednesday are expected to reach the 80s across the eastern plains, with cooler 60s and 70s in the mountains and San Luis Valley.

According to the weather service, temperatures in Pueblo and La Junta will climb into the low to upper 80s, while Lamar may reach 86 degrees. Mountain communities including Leadville and Buena Vista will see highs in the 50s and 60s.

Forecasters noted that this warm stretch is expected to hold steady through Friday. A significant pattern shift is forecast to arrive late Friday for the high country and spread into the plains Saturday. That change will usher in cooler air along with increased chances for showers.

The extended outlook shows highs dropping into the 60s and 70s for many locations by the weekend, with nighttime lows dipping into the 30s and 40s across mountain valleys. The weather service advises residents to prepare for the quick temperature shift and potential wet conditions.
