Pueblo, CO – Southern Colorado residents can expect a mix of sunshine, above-normal temperatures, and spotty showers today, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo.

Forecasters said Tuesday will bring highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s across the plains, with cooler 60s and 70s in mountain areas. Scattered showers and weak thunderstorms remain possible over the Palmer Divide, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and portions of the high country through the evening hours.

According to the NWS Pueblo office, a warming and drying trend is expected to continue through Friday. Many communities, including Pueblo, La Junta, and Lamar, will see temperatures in the low to mid-80s for much of the workweek. Mountain towns such as Leadville and Buena Vista are forecast to remain cooler, with highs ranging from the mid-60s to low 70s.

The pattern will shift by the weekend, with cooler and wetter conditions likely beginning Saturday, October 4. Residents planning outdoor activities are encouraged to monitor updated forecasts, especially as showers and storms may impact higher elevations and travel routes.
