PUEBLO, Colo. – The early-morning chill fades quickly as sunlight spills across the Arkansas Valley, painting the plains in golden tones. Pueblo begins the week under clear skies and unseasonable warmth, a stretch of dry November weather before subtle cooling arrives midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, high pressure keeps the region sunny and mild through Tuesday. Afternoon highs will climb into the lower 80s, nearly 15 degrees above average, while early mornings remain brisk in the low 30s. Winds stay calm today, picking up slightly from the south Monday afternoon and Tuesday, with gusts between 10 and 15 mph.

For travelers along I-25, U.S. 50, and Highway 96, driving conditions will remain excellent through midweek. The warm, dry air also creates ideal conditions for outdoor projects, leaf cleanup, and early holiday decorating before a cooler trend moves in by Wednesday.

By midweek, weak northwest flow brings highs back into the low 70s, with nights hovering in the upper 30s. The area remains dry, but residents in northern El Paso and Fremont Counties may notice a stronger breeze Tuesday evening as the front approaches. While La Niña continues to influence regional patterns, Pueblo’s first real shot of winter weather still appears several weeks away.

Long-range models hint at the first cold front strong enough to drop temperatures near freezing closer to mid-November. For now, southern Colorado stays comfortably in its fall groove — bright, dry, and just warm enough to forget that winter’s edge is inching closer.
