Pueblo, CO – Southern Colorado residents can expect a mild and sunny Sunday before another round of cooler weather settles in Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo.
Forecasters said Sunday will bring near-normal temperatures and calmer conditions compared to Saturday’s windy weather. Highs are expected to reach the upper 70s in Pueblo and La Junta, low 80s across Lamar and Springfield, and cooler 60s in Salida and Buena Vista.
According to the Weather Service, a reinforcing cold front will move into the region Sunday evening, bringing gusty east winds, scattered showers, and a noticeable temperature drop for the start of the workweek. Highs on Monday are forecast to dip into the 60s across much of the region, with lows falling into the 30s and 40s overnight.
The agency advises residents to prepare for breezy conditions this evening and significantly cooler mornings early this week. The trend continues into Tuesday, with highs remaining below normal before a gradual warm-up returns midweek.
Drivers and early commuters are encouraged to check local forecasts and plan for changing temperatures, especially in higher-elevation areas like Leadville and Alamosa.
