Pueblo, Colorado – Snow along the Continental Divide is expected to come to an end this afternoon, while warm and mostly dry weather continues across much of southern Colorado.
According to the National Weather Service Pueblo, most locations will experience warm and dry conditions today, with lingering mountain snow showers diminishing later this afternoon. Snow impacts will become increasingly limited to higher elevations before ending altogether.
Forecasters say temperatures will remain above seasonal averages, with mild conditions extending across the eastern plains, valleys, and lower elevations. Dry weather will dominate for areas outside of the higher terrain.
The warming trend is expected to persist through the weekend and into early next week. The National Weather Service notes continued warm and dry conditions through at least Monday, though elevated fire weather concerns may develop at times, particularly on Sunday and Monday, depending on winds and humidity levels.
No significant travel impacts are expected once mountain snow ends, though drivers crossing higher passes early today may still encounter lingering slick spots.
Looking ahead, forecasters are monitoring the potential for increasing snow chances late next week, though details remain uncertain at this time.
Residents across southern Colorado can expect a quieter weather pattern in the short term, with favorable conditions for travel and outdoor activities through the weekend.
