San Bernardino, CA – Strong winds are expected to sweep through the High Desert and San Gorgonio Pass on Monday, October 13, prompting a Wind Advisory from the National Weather Service in San Diego.

Forecasters predict southwest to west winds between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts reaching 45 mph in the Apple and Lucerne Valleys, and up to 55 mph in the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning. The advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. PDT Monday.

The National Weather Service warns that the gusty conditions may make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles along I-10, Highway 18, and other open desert corridors. Blowing dust could also lead to sudden drops in visibility, particularly during the late afternoon.

Residents are advised to secure outdoor items and use caution when traveling through wind-prone areas.
