LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A veil of marine-layer fog clings to the Los Angeles Basin this early Saturday morning, softening city lights and slowing early commuters along I-10 and the 405. It’s a cool, damp start—but a much warmer stretch lies ahead as the region shifts into a late-October pattern more fitting for summer than fall.

According to the National Weather Service in Oxnard, patchy fog and low clouds will linger through mid-morning before sunshine takes control. Temperatures climb steadily through the weekend, topping out near 75°F today and mid-70s Sunday. By Monday, the Los Angeles metro will feel a noticeable warm-up as highs rise to around 80°F—nearly ten degrees above normal for late October.

Residents planning outdoor Halloween displays or weekend yardwork can expect light winds and clear skies, though visibility may dip early each morning in coastal zones from Santa Monica to Long Beach. Inland neighborhoods like Pasadena and Burbank will warm faster, reaching the low 80s by Tuesday.

While no rain is expected in the coming days, the recent cool pattern has left moisture in place, creating the perfect setup for patchy fog through early Sunday. For those with morning commutes or travel plans, allow extra time until sunshine burns it away.

By midweek, the region stays warm, dry, and ideal for evening events or early trick-or-treat planning. After all, a chilly November isn’t far behind.

Five-Day Outlook for Los Angeles, CA:
