San Diego, CA – Clouds will build over San Diego Friday night, bringing a chance of showers that could affect weekend outdoor plans from coastal neighborhoods to inland valleys.
According to the National Weather Service, light rain may begin as early as 11 p.m. Friday, with a 10% chance of precipitation, increasing to 50% by Saturday night. Winds could gust up to 20 mph along the coast and higher terrain, with temperatures holding steady in the mid-60s through Sunday.
While showers are expected to remain light and scattered, road surfaces may become slick during morning or late evening commutes. Drivers are advised to reduce speeds and watch for reduced visibility, especially near coastal routes like Interstate 5 and Highway 163.
Conditions are expected to clear by Sunday evening, with partly sunny skies and highs near 69°F returning by Monday. The NWS recommends securing outdoor items and checking local alerts if planning travel or events during this period.
Rain chances drop off early Sunday, but additional updates may follow if moisture levels increase or winds intensify.
