San Diego, Calif. – Light rain may dampen the start of the weekend in San Diego, but skies will brighten heading into Saturday with temperatures warming into the mid-70s.

According to the National Weather Service, a slight chance of showers remains in place through Friday morning, mainly before 11 a.m., with cloudy conditions and highs near 72 degrees. South winds of 5 to 10 mph could make the morning feel cooler before clearing arrives by late afternoon.

Drivers across San Diego County, including along I-5 and I-8, may encounter slick spots during the morning commute. Residents are advised to allow extra time for travel and use caution on wet roads.

Saturday will bring gradual clearing, with partly sunny skies by afternoon and highs around 74. Sunday looks warmer, with highs reaching 75 and light winds from the southwest. Conditions will remain dry and mild through early next week, with Monday and Tuesday expected to stay partly sunny and temperatures hovering in the mid-70s.

The National Weather Service notes no further rain chances in the immediate forecast, though low clouds could return overnight into the middle of next week.
