SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Mild summer weather continues across San Diego County, with patchy fog and cloudy mornings expected through midweek before skies clear for warmer afternoons. Highs will hover in the mid-70s along the coast, keeping conditions comfortable but occasionally reducing visibility for early commuters.
According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will see gradual clearing by afternoon with highs near 74. Fog and low clouds will return Sunday night into Monday, with another round of clearing later in the day. Similar patterns of overnight fog and daytime sunshine are expected through Wednesday, with inland valleys reaching the upper 70s by Friday.
Drivers along Interstates 5 and 805 should watch for reduced visibility during the late night and early morning hours, especially through Tuesday. The marine layer could limit sightlines below a quarter mile in some coastal pockets. Those heading to the beaches should expect cooler mornings but warmer, clearer afternoons.
The mild stretch is expected to last into next weekend, with slightly warmer afternoons by Friday and Saturday. Patchy fog advisories may continue through Thursday morning.
