San Diego, CA – A Heat Advisory has been issued for large portions of Southern California, with temperatures expected to reach the low to mid-90s on Tuesday, October 28, according to the National Weather Service in San Diego.

The alert, in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, covers Orange County inland areas, the San Bernardino and Riverside County Valleys (Inland Empire), and the San Diego County Valleys. Daytime highs between 88 and 95 degrees and moderate heat risk levels are forecast.

According to the NWS, hot conditions could lead to heat-related illnesses, particularly for those working or spending extended time outdoors. The agency advises residents to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight, and check on elderly neighbors or those without air conditioning.

Cities included in the advisory zone range from Riverside, San Bernardino, and Fontana to Irvine, Mission Viejo, and Escondido. Forecasters say the warm, dry pattern will continue through midweek before slightly cooler conditions return later in the week.

Authorities remind residents that even brief exposure in parked vehicles can be dangerous during elevated temperatures.
