San Diego, CA – A Red Flag Warning remains in effect for parts of Southern California, including San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego counties, from 10 a.m. Monday until 10 p.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service warns of critical fire weather conditions due to strong winds and extremely low humidity.

According to the NWS, northeast winds are expected to range between 25 and 35 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph. Isolated gusts could reach as high as 75 mph in some mountainous areas. Humidity levels will drop from 15-20% on Monday to as low as 5-8% by Tuesday, with little recovery overnight.

Regions under the warning include the Inland Empire, Santa Ana Mountains, San Bernardino and Riverside County mountains, and San Diego County’s inland valleys. Areas near Banning and the Cleveland National Forest are also at heightened risk.

Officials caution that these conditions could lead to rapid fire spread if ignition occurs. Residents are urged to avoid outdoor burning, secure loose items, and be prepared to evacuate if needed.
