East Los Angeles, CA – Drivers across East L.A. should be on alert as patchy fog threatens to slow Monday morning commutes along key routes including I-5 and I-10. While sunshine is expected later in the day, early visibility could drop fast between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m., especially in low-lying areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard, fog will redevelop Monday night and again early Tuesday, posing repeated visibility hazards. Caltrans advises motorists to use headlights and allow extra travel time. Temperatures will hover in the low 80s Monday but fall sharply to the low 70s by midweek.

By Wednesday, East L.A. enters a cooler and cloudier stretch, more in line with typical late October weather. While there’s no rain in sight yet, morning fog could continue through Thursday before skies clear again by Friday. Pumpkin patch visits and fall outings should plan around late morning hours for the best visibility.

Sunshine dominates the daytime hours, but locals heading out before 10 a.m. should expect limited visibility and slick roads from morning condensation. No major wind events are expected, and fire danger remains low.

More dense fog is possible early Thursday. Stay tuned for new advisories if that changes.
