TUCSON, Ariz. – Morning light spills across the Catalina Mountains as Tucson wakes to another calm and clear desert dawn. The air feels fresh now, but temperatures will climb quickly under bright blue skies — a stretch of steady warmth that’s unusual, even for early November.

According to the National Weather Service in Tucson, high pressure over the Southwest will keep temperatures running well above normal through Tuesday. Afternoon highs near 90°F are expected across the metro, while outlying desert communities like Marana and Vail may touch the low 90s. Winds stay light and variable, ideal for travel along I-10 and outdoor work across Pima County.

Monday and Tuesday remain dry and sunny, with just a few thin clouds appearing late in the evenings. By Wednesday, a shift in the upper pattern will allow slightly cooler air to filter in, bringing daytime highs back into the mid-80s by Thursday. Despite the cooling trend, no rain is expected across southern Arizona this week, and humidity levels will remain very low.

Residents should take precautions against the unseasonable warmth by staying hydrated and avoiding extended midday exposure. Fire danger remains elevated in foothill areas due to ongoing dry conditions.

Meteorologists note that La Niña continues to influence early winter across the Southwest, often producing long dry spells followed by sharp cold snaps. Long-range guidance hints at possible temperature drops and more active weather patterns closer to mid-November — potentially the season’s first sign of a true fall transition.
