TUCSON, Ariz. — Southern Arizona is heading into a classic October warm-up this weekend, with clear skies and temperatures steadily climbing into the upper 90s by Tuesday. Residents can expect a stretch of dry, sunny days and mild nights — ideal for outdoor plans but a reminder to stay hydrated as heat levels rise again.

According to the National Weather Service in Tucson, Saturday’s high will reach around 92°F before inching up to 94°F Monday and peaking near 97°F Tuesday afternoon. Overnight lows will hover in the upper 60s to low 70s, offering only limited cooling before another round of sunshine each morning.

The week will remain largely cloud-free, though a few high clouds and a slight chance of showers could return late Wednesday into Thursday. Winds will stay light, generally out of the south and west at 5–10 mph, keeping dust levels low and visibility clear across Pima County and nearby desert highways.

Locals are advised to limit strenuous activity during peak afternoon hours and check on pets and vulnerable neighbors.
